Using the ZCorp Z700 3D Scanner we offer a competitive 3D Scanning bureau service.

Convert a solid object into a stl CAD file.

What is the Z700 Scanner? A fully portable, free form scanning tool aimed at reverse engineering and design applications.  It is excellent for converting subject parts and components into a stl CAD format.  The benefits are especially obvious for organic shapes but any geometry can be scanned within the limits of the equipments definition.

Typical Projects: Ideally table top parts and components are scanned in our studio.  We can come to you for larger and less portable captures subject to project approval.

Data Output: The Z700 outputs a Standard Triangulation Language (.stl) file which can then be edited and even re-engineered back into a CAD package.

Data Post Processing: Using the Z Corp recommended Geomagics or the optional Materialise 3Matic software tools we can manipulate, repair and edit your scan file to produce a complete, accurate CAD model.

Colour and Effects: We can texture, wrap artwork and jpeg files onto your CAD model to complete the reproduction.

Project time: For many items the scanning process takes only minutes to capture your part into CAD after suitable set up and pre-scanning preparation.  As part of our Rapid Prototype service we aim to complete Scanning Projects in 5 working days or less.

Quotations: Due to the huge variation in complexity of parts to scan we can only cost each project individually.  We work out the cost either by a daily rate or on an hourly basis.
